New Celtic signing Odsonne Edouard is looking forward to enjoying a successful spell at the club after completing his season-long loan switch from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day.

The 19-year-old became the Bhoys’ fifth signing of the summer when he completed his move to Parkhead and he arrives in Scotland with a big reputation after playing a starring role for France during their UEFA European Under 17 Championship success in 2015.

Edouard finished as the top scorer and was named best player for that tournament, while he has also enjoyed a prolific record playing for PSG’s various youth teams.

The forward, who spent time on loan at Toulouse last season, is now looking forward to the challenge of playing for Celtic and he is hoping to enjoy as much success as possible during his time with the club.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Celtic, one of the world’s truly great football clubs, and I can’t wait to wear the famous Celtic jersey,” the teenager told the club’s official website.

“I am really looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and we will work hard together to bring our fans as much success as possible.”

Edouard could make his Celtic debut when Brendan Rodgers’ side travel to New Douglas Park to take on Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership on September 8.

The Hoops have been crowned champions of Scotland for the last six seasons and they are priced at 1.03 to claim overall glory once again this term.
