Celtic can take another step towards the treble Treble with victory at Hibernian on Saturday and defender Kristoffer Ajer expects no let up from Neil Lennon’s side.

Celtic are 11 points clear at the top going into the weekend and could be just one win away from clinching their eighth straight title by Sunday should Rangers fail to beat Hearts on Saturday.

The Hoops’ 3-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen at Hampden Park last Sunday set up a meeting with Craig Levein’s Jambos at the national stadium next month.

But Ajer knows there will be no room to rest on their laurels as Lennon fires his squad up for a trip to Easter Road to face his former club this weekend.

The 20-year-old Norway defender said: “When you play for Celtic everyone wants to beat you every single game so we know that Hibs will make it really difficult for us.

“We will need to be on top of our game there and so there is a lot of work to do before the end of the season.”

Celtic are 1.50 to wrap up the three points at Hibs on Sunday with the Edinburgh club 6.50 to win their third home league game in a row against the champions.

“We know that we need to win a few more games in the league and also we have a big game in the cup final,” Ajer continued.

“There is a lot of games to be played before that. Any team you meet in a cup final will be difficult.

“Hearts are a really strong side as well and they made it difficult for us earlier (in the season) and I am sure they will make it as tough this time.”
