Striker Romelu Lukaku says Everton are capable of bouncing back from their disappointing home defeat against Manchester United with a positive result against Arsenal.

The Toffees folded tamely against Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils at Goodison Park, conceding two goals in four first-half minutes before allowing former player Wayne Rooney to run in to score a third United goal in the second half.

It was a first defeat in six Premier League outings for Roberto Martinez’s team who have started well this season despite a daunting fixture list.

The trip to Arsenal on Saturday means Everton will have faced all of the top three teams in the division in ten games this season, as well as champions Chelsea and Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

Lukaku feels Everton are capable of getting something from their trip to the Emirates.

Arsenal have won six of their eight Premier League games since an opening weekend reverse against West Ham, rising to second in the table as a result.

Still, Everton have lost only two of their last seven meetings with Arsene Wenger’s team and Lukaku says they can use that record to help them bounce back from the disappointment of losing to Man United.

“When we have played against Arsenal, we have had some good results,”
Lukaku told evertonfc.com. “Now we have to make sure we work harder because it’s not going to be an easy game.

“But I have confidence in my teammates and hopefully we can do a job there.”

Lukaku is available at 17.00 to be leading goalscorer in the Premier League this season while Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal is priced at 6.00.
