After announcing the exit of French striker Karim Benzema on Sunday, who is also on the verge of joining Saudi Arabia club side, La Liga side Real Madrid is already on the lookout to bring in a replacement for the man who spent 14 years at the club ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

Reports indicate that top on the list for Real Madrid is Tottenham striker Harry Kane who scored 30 goals for the North London club in the Premier League last season. The striker has a year left on his contract, and it is said that he could be leaving North London for a free next summer.

Real Madrid, who has always been linked with Harry Kane, thinks they can bring him to Madrid this summer, but a shield asking price of around over 100 million pounds by the chairman Daniel Levy is putting Real Madrid in a reluctant mood to sign the striker.

The exit of several players this weekend, including Benzema, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Mariano Diaz, is expected to boost the transfer budget of Real Madrid, and should the move for Harry Kane not come to fruition, there are several options left for Carlo Ancelotti and his team with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez, Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic are also on their list of targets.

Real Madrid finished third on the La Liga table to end their season with just the Copa Del Rey trophy and the semifinal finish in the UEFA Champions League.

Kane is 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record of 260, having scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham. The lure of trophies could boost the player’s drive to leave Tottenham as he once tried to leave for Manchester City some two seasons back before staying back for a bigger deal at Tottenham. He is still yet to win a title despite his tremendous goals record for Tottenham.
