Reports from France say Paris Saint-Germain had reached an agreement with Corinthians for the sale of Gabriel Moscardo, who could link up with the squad during the winter.

It was initially reported that the defensive midfielder would join the Ligue 1 giant next summer, but it seems they are fast-forwarding the transfer to integrate him into the squad and possibly help address the midfield problem the Ligue 1 giants are facing.

According to Foot Mercato, the highly coveted Brazilian midfielder, who is currently under contract with Corinthians until 2026, will sign up with the capital club, which has been looking for a defensive midfielder for weeks.
The report further said PSG are making progress in this matter, having announced that an agreement was about to be reached with his club.

PSG will reportedly pay a transfer fee of around 22 million euros plus 3 bonuses.
As things stand, Paris Saint-Germain could slightly revise their plans by bringing him to France in January. It was reported that the Parisian management decided to integrate him into the club’s squad in January since the Brazilian Championship had already ended.

The manager, Luis Enrique, pushed for his arrival this winter to have an additional solution in the midfield.
With Fabian Ruiz out till January due to a shoulder and PSG could be without Lee Kang-in away for the Asian Championship, Enrique will have few options in the middle of the park.

Since the 18-year-old appears to be a highly rated talent, he could easily settle into the squad, given the coach the solution to the defensive midfield problem they have been having.

They currently top the Ligue 1 table with 40 points, five points above OGC Nice, and will also be prepared for the congested fixtures in January while hoping to avoid further injuries as those on the treatment table recover on time.
