West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell believes his side are capable of finishing in the top-10 but admits they must continue building momentum.
Manuel Pellegrini overhauled the squad during the summer, spending close to £100million, but the Hammers struggled to find their feet in the opening weeks.
West Ham lost their opening four Premier League games and the Chilean found himself under pressure to address the situation. Performances have improved and although they are still lacking consistency, are unbeaten in their last two league outings.
Cresswell has called on the squad to continue building momentum after the international break, as they aim to force their way up the table.
“It’s still early doors but we want to keep our momentum going and really push for the top half of the table,” he told the club’s website.
“There’s a two-week break now and we want to continue it when we get back to work.
“We’ve had a good run and we’d like to continue that. We will come back ready for Manchester City.
We don’t want to look over our shoulders. We want to look up. We want to push on and see how far we can go.”
West Ham can be backed at 11.00 to win when they return to action on November 24 at Manchester City, with the Premier League leaders priced at 1.29 to claim all three points, and the draw available at 6.00.
