Tottenham striker Harry Kane insists he is fit and not struggling ahead of their Champions League opener against Inter Milan on Tuesday.

The Spurs star has already scored two goals in the Premier League this season but he was quiet during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Some fans believe Kane could be exhausted after scoring 41 goals in all competitions last season before winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup in Russia.

Reports claimed the 25-year-old could be rested for Tuesday’s clash at the San Siro, but manager Mauricio Pochettino insists he would be crazy to change his forward options.

Despite the reports, Kane insists he is fine and ready to go as his side try to shock the Serie A side.

“People are always going to look for stuff, especially when you are a big part of the team and someone who is there to get the goals,” Kane told reporters.

“As a team we can all do better and as the striker you get spoken about more, but I feel sharp and fit and if I wasn’t the manager would not be picking me.

“He believes in me, I believe in myself and hopefully I can score a couple of goals on Tuesday and it will be put to bed.”

Although they have home advantage, Inter are 2.88 outsiders with the draw 3.20. Spurs remain 2.50 despite back-to-back defeats in the league to Watford and the Reds.
