Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic goes up against former club Newcastle United this weekend and Magpies defender Jamaal Lascelles isn’t looking forward to facing his old team-mate.
The Serbian forward managed just 14 goals in 65 Premier League outings for Newcastle but has starred for Fulham.
Mitrovic has seven goals in 18 games in all competitions for Fulham this season and has hit six in six for his national side.
Lascelles expects a stern test in his own personal battle with the 24-year-old on Saturday, although he is confident Newcastle will be able to take all three points in front of their own fans.
“Mitro is a good striker; he’s smart, he’s physical, and he can be a nightmare for centre-halves,” he said, as reported by The Mirror.
“And they’ve got a good midfield; they try to play good football, too. But we’re paid to do our job, and they’re coming to St James’ Park, so we’ll be full of confidence.
“They’re bottom of the league, but they’ve got some good players in their team.
“Every game in the Premier League is a difficult game. There’s not one game where you think, ‘Yeah, we’ll easily beat them.’ So we just need to make sure we prepare in the right way and with the same attitude we did at the weekend.”
Mitrovic is 6.00 to score first at St James’ Park on Saturday and Fulham are 3.80 to win. A Newcastle win is available at 2.00 and the draw is 3.50.
