Ilkay Gundogan says he has no plans to leave Manchester City after being linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund.

Gundogan is due to fall out of contract at the end of next season and that has led to speculation he could be on the move this summer.

The Germany international has been tentatively linked with a return to the Bundesliga, with former club BVB mooted as a potential suitors, but the 28-year-old says he isn’t looking to leave City and would be open to discussions regarding a new deal before the new campaign gets underway.

“There will be talks in the summer and then we’ll see,” he said after Germany thrashed Estonia 8-0 in Mainz in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Tuesday.

“I’m not dissatisfied with Manchester City and that’s why I would not say that I really want to leave because the club wants to extend my contract.”

The Premier League 2019/20 fixtures were released on Thursday and City begin their title defence at West Ham on Saturday, August 10 in a 12:30pm kick-off.

Man City are 1.30 to begin the campaign with a win, the draw is 5.25 and West Ham can be backed at 9.50.

City will complete the campaign at home to Norwich on May 17, while they face Manchester United at home on December 7 and away on March 7.

City are 1.67 to win the Premier League 2019/20 outright, last season’s runners-up Liverpool are 3.50 and United are 23.00.
