Bernardo Silva believes Manchester City are capable of challenging on four fronts this season and has even backed them to defend the silverware in 2019-20.

The Citizens were the dominant force in English football last season, winning the League Cup and Premier League, and they are eager to build on that success in 2018-19.

City can be backed at 1.62 to win the Premier League title and could seal their first piece of silverware on Sunday when they go up against Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be full of confidence, having recently beaten the Blues 6-0 in the league, and they are heavily fancied to prevail once again at Wembley.

They currently lead the Premier League standings on goal difference although they have played a game more than second-placed Liverpool.

Their dream of progressing in the Champions League is still alive after beating Schalke 3-2 in their last-16, first-leg tie on Wednesday, while they have been drawn against Swansea in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Silva admits the quadruple is one of City’s “main goals” this term and insists they will also come out fighting on all four fronts again next season.

“That is one of our main goals – not only winning it once but to keep winning and winning,” Silva said.

“We know we have the squad to do that, but our opponents are very strong and it won’t be an easy job. We will do our best to try.”
