Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi says his team have what it takes to overcome Sheffield United and win their first game of the season.
The Foxes have drawn their first two games of the campaign against Wolves and Chelsea, but they will fancy their chances against the newly-promoted team this week. Chris Wilder’s side have picked up four points so far and they have shown plenty of potential as they look to avoid relegation at the first attempt.
Ndidi, who scored the equaliser against Chelsea last week, is confident his side will have too much when they meet the Blades at Bramall Lane. He told the club’s official website: “They’re a very good team. It’s something we should actually get something out of.
“The last two games we drew and I think this is something we have to get something out of because it’ll give us the edge to move up the table and give us more points. We’re ready for it.
“Anything can happen, so we try to get as many points as we can that will get us at the top of the table. These games are very important; we don’t just say top six or top three, we have to get the points out of the games before we place ourselves at the top.”
Despite having home advantage, the Blades are 3.30 outsiders to win this weekend. The draw is priced at 3.25, while Brendan Rodgers’ troops are 2.30 to open their account for the season.
Leicester will fancy their chances of climbing the table in the coming weeks, with Bournemouth next up after the international break.
