Leicester manager Claude Puel has called on his squad to maintain their levels of concentration as they look to extend their impressive run of form.

The Foxes moved up to seventh in the Premier League on Saturday courtesy of a 2-0 win at home to Watford with Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez hitting the back of the net.

Leicester are now unbeaten in five games in all competitions, having kept five clean sheets in the process, and their fans are starting to dream of a return to European football.

Puel has worked wonders with the squad since taking over from Craig Shakespeare on October 25 but he is refusing to get carried away with their improvement just yet.

Everton, who sit two places worse off in the table, will provide the next obstacle for Leicester, who are priced at 17.00 to win the FA Cup outright, in the Premier League on January 31 and Puel has called on the Foxes to remain focused.

Puel told Leicester’s official website: “I think our mission is to just continue to work hard and to improve. The Premier League is so difficult.

The next game we play away at Everton and it is a good team. It will be tough there. We cannot look [too far] forward. It is important to stay focused and concentrate on our play.

“We have to keep this concentration on the pitch and work hard in training. The position in the table at the moment is not important.

It is about where we finish at the end of the season. We have to play a lot of games, difficult games every time and we will see in the future.”
