James Maddison says the arrival of Youri Tielemans from Monaco in the winter window has added further quality to Leicester City’s midfield.
Tielemans has been capped 14 times by Belgium and has already played over 250 senior games with Anderlecht and Monaco, despite being just 21.
Maddison partnered the January arrival in midfield against Spurs last time out, and the playmaker says Tielemans has provided the whole Leicester squad with a boost.
“It is brilliant,” Maddison told the Leicester Mercury. “We want as much quality in the club as possible. That only is a positive thing for me and all of the other players.
“When you see quality coming in, whether it is in your position or not, you want the team to do as well as we can, and at the end of the season we want to be in the highest possible position we can be and if signing players like that is going to help then I am all for it.
“We all know the quality he has and his record speaks for itself. He is 21 but he has played a hell of a lot of games.
“He is a real talent so I am looking forward to playing with him.”
Leicester City host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday and are 2.20 to take all three points. The Eagles can be backed at 3.40 and a draw is 3.40.
