Leicester City are reportedly taking a look at Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford as they line up a loan bid ahead of next season.

The England international is currently away with the national team as he prepares for the World Cup in Russia.

He will be pushing Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane for a starting spot and he is priced at 10.00 to finish as England’s top scorer.

Rashford is reportedly frustrated at his lack of game time at Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho using other options on a number of occasions last season.

The 20-year-old made 35 appearances in all competitions last term but only 17 of them were from the off.

He scored seven goals and provided five assists and coach Claude Puel is willing to launch a loan move in the coming weeks.

The Foxes face competition from both Everton and Newcastle United but Leicester chiefs have given the move the green light after Rashford’s display against Costa Rica on Thursday night at Elland Road.

His long-range effort was the moment of the match and Leicester are hoping to make him their third signing of the summer.

They have already signed defenders Ricardo Pereira and Jonny Evans while they are leading the race for Norwich’s James Maddison.

Maddison is expected to leave Carrow Road this summer and Puel is on the lookout for potential replacements for Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez who remains on Manchester City’s wishlist.
