Brendan Rodgers is convinced Leicester can have a say in the Premier League title race by getting a result at Manchester City on Monday.

Liverpool overcame Newcastle on Saturday to move to the summit and City need to win in front of their own fans against Leicester if they are to reclaim the lead going into the final round of fixtures.

City are 1.17 to win the Premier League and Liverpool can be backed at 4.50. The Foxes head to the Etihad Stadium in good form with five wins in their last seven games, including a 3-0 victory over Arsenal last time out, and Rodgers insists his side can get a result in Manchester.

“We expect that it’ll be tough game for us, but we have a game and a model of work that we believe can beat any team,” he told reporters.

“You know that you’re going to have to defend very, very well. You have to be strong, you have to be aggressive, you have to be hard to beat, you have to be compact.

“From that base we know that we have speed in the team. We’ve got players that are incisive, they can make the last pass, they’ve got speed at the top of the field.

“The important thing is to ensure that you defend well, you’re aggressive, and we know we can do that. And then it’s a case of then showing our qualities when we have the ball.” Leicester are 15.00 to win, a draw is 7.00 and a win for City is 1.17.
