Everton defender Ashley Williams says the squad must focus on keeping their performances to a high standard as they look to secure a top-six finish.
The Toffees currently sit sixth and three points better off than seventh-placed Arsenal, although the Gunners have played three games less ahead of their trip to Middlesbrough on Monday night.
Everton were tipped for a top-four finish in the early stages of the season after enjoying a strong start, however, their form dropped during the middle the campaign.
Ronald Koeman’s men have recently rediscovered that winning feeling on home soil with seven victories on the bounce at Goodison Park following Saturday’s triumph over Burnley.
Williams, who joined Everton from Swansea over the summer, has challenged the squad to keep that form going in the remaining five games.
The Wales international insists they are full of confidence and hopes they can achieve their goal of finishing in the top-six.
He told Everton’s official website: “All we can do is look after our own performances. Hopefully we are in that group of teams that are in the mix for those spots.
“We have a lot of confidence and we are winning a lot of games. In that top six is where we want to be.
“But we know it is a difficult ask to push into that elite group. We are just trying to finish the season as strong as we can and as high as we can.”
Everton can be backed at 2.20 to pick up another win when they are next in action as they travel to West Ham, who are priced at 3.25 to take all three points, while the draw is available at 3.40.
