Nuno Espirito Santo, former Wolves boss, is reportedly close to agreeing to a deal with Crystal Palace to replace Roy Hodgson.

The team have been searching for a replacement since Hodgson stepped down at the end of the season.

Palace will now make a change at the top after close to four years of consistency in Hodgson.

Nuno had three days of talks with Palace earlier this month, with reports indicating the club could also be considering Patrick Vieira or Frank Lampard.

Nuno is known as a training ground manager, and the more time he gets with his team, the better the results are.

He was connected to the opening with Everton before that fizzled out.

Palace not only want to, but also need to make a decision soon as it has gaping holes in its roster.

Patrick van Aanholt, Mamadou Sakho and Connor Wickham will all be leaving this summer and the managerial vacancy just adds to those troubles.

Nuno led Wolves to Championship title in 2018, before the side at Molineux finished No. 7 in Premier League table for back-to-back seasons.

Big signing for Palace if in fact the reports are true.
