Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois says Manchester City look “unstoppable” at the moment but he insists his side haven’t given up on their title defence.

City head into the international break with an eight point lead in the Premier League table, with Chelsea nine points off the pace in fourth spot.

Manchester City are the 1.17 favourites to win the Premier League outright, Chelsea can be backed at 17.00 and Tottenham are 13.00.

However, the Blues managed to recover a sizeable deficit last season and Courtois says no one at Stamford Bridge is ready to accept defeat in the title fight just yet.

“We have to hope now they drop points. At the moment they are a bit unstoppable, they are playing very well and scoring goals,” Courtois told the club’s official website.

“Last year we were eight points behind City at one stage and then we went on a winning run. I hope we can do the same.

“But the season is very long, they could have injuries, play a bit worse and lose some games. We have to be there and keep winning our games.”

Chelsea travel to West Brom in the next round of Premier League fixtures and they are 1.60 to secure all three points or 2.50 to win with a -1 handicap.

Chelsea are 23.00 to win the Champions League outright and City are 6.00, with French giants Paris Saint-Germain rated as the 4.50 favourites.
