Eddie Howe is hoping Bournemouth can return to winning ways and claim their first away victory over Arsenal when the teams meet in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Cherries will head to the Emirates Stadium on the back of a three-game winless run although their last victory did come in spectacular fashion when they beat Chelsea 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium at the end of January.

Bournemouth also have a recent victory over Arsenal to their name after goals from Callum Wilson and Jordon Ibe helped them secure a 2-1 success on home soil last season.

However, that is the south-coast club’s only victory over Arsenal and they haven’t even taken a point off the Gunners in an away fixture.

Howe is hoping to end that hoodoo while also getting Bournemouth’s push for a top-seven finish back on track.

“We try and go in to every match with the idea of imposing ourselves,” Howe told reporters, We’ve had some close games against Arsenal and we’re hoping we can go one better tomorrow night.”

Bournemouth’s cause will not be helped by their growing list of absentees. Junior Stanislas, Callum Wilson, David Brooks and Steve Cook have all been ruled out through injury and midfielder Jefferson Lerma is suspended.

The Cherries are priced at 7.00 to claim all three points on Wednesday. Arsenal are available at 1.44 and the draw is on offer at 4.75.
