Brazil forward Philippe Coutinho is convinced his side can claim Copa America glory this summer.

The South American heavyweights are 3.80 to win the tournament outright, with Argentina the 2.88 favourites, and Liverpool star Coutinho insists confidence is high within the Selecao camp.

Brazil will be competing in their first tournament since their 7-1 humbling at the hands of Germany at the World Cup on home soil last summer, and the subsequent third place playoff defeat to the Netherlands.

Luiz Felipe Scolari left as manager after the 2014 World Cup and was replaced by Dunga, who has returned for a second spell as Brazil boss.

Coutinho has been unable to establish himself as a regular starter under Dunga but he insists that it doesn’t matter who plays, as long as Brazil secure the Copa America title in Chile.

“It is a great opportunity not only for me, but for the whole group,” he told Goal. “The Copa America is a great competition.

“We are focused, no matter who plays. Our only concern is to get there in good form and win the tournament. Everyone is fighting for a place, which is very important. We are always seeking the best.”

Brazil have been drawn alongside Colombia, Peru and Venezuela in Group C and open their Copa America account against Peru on June 14.

Brazil are 1.18 to beat Peru or 9.00 to win 4-0, while Coutinho is priced at 2.20 to score at any time.
