Paul Lambert has declared himself satisfied with the start to his reign as Blackburn boss after picking up four points from two games.
Rovers drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday after beating Lancashire rivals Preston North End 2-1 in his first game in charge.
Blackburn led Wednesday 2-1 with less than 10 minutes to go thanks to strikes from Hope Akpan and Corry Evans, but Lucas Joao salvaged a point for the Owls.
Lambert feels his side could have taken all three points against Wednesday but he was still satisfied with the result and feels Blackburn now have something to build on.
“Ideally I’d have loved to have had the three points but it’s also a game we could have lost,” he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
“The lads might have done better in different situations but we got two goals from two different midfielders, which takes some of the pressure off Jordan (Rhodes), and overall four points out of six since we’ve been here is a good return.”
Blackburn are now 14th in the Championship table, six points clear of the bottom three and seven adrift of the play-off places.
Rovers travel to Bristol City on Saturday and are 2.80 to come away from Ashton Gate with all three points. A win for the Robins is 2.50 and the draw is available at 3.20.
Blackburn are 26.00 to be promoted back to the Premier League this season.
