Brazilian midfielder Oscar says he plans to remain at Chelsea for a long time, insisting he loves the club and has no desire to leave.

The 23-year-old had been linked with a move away this summer, with Serie A champions Juventus known admirers.

Oscar committed to a new contract at Stamford Bridge last season and he intends to honour the deal.

“I know there has been a lot of talk about Juventus, but I am very, very happy at Chelsea,” he said.

“My future is in Chelsea. In the last year I have signed the new contract and I love Chelsea; I want to stay here for a long time.”

Oscar arrived at Chelsea from Internacional in 2012 for a fee in excess of £20m and he has gone on to make close to 100 appearances for the Blues.

Despite competing with the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas for game-time, he continues to be an important figure for Jose Mourinho, scoring six times in 27 Premier League appearances last season.

Having missed the final five games of Chelsea’s title-winning campaign due to a thigh injury, Oscar also sat out Brazil’s Copa American campaign.

He feels the injury may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, though, as it allowed him a long overdue rest.

“Most players don’t like to get injured, but it did force me to have a rest. This is important and now I have no injury and will be fresh for the season,” he added.

Chelsea are 2.50 to retain their Premier League crown next season, with free-spending Manchester United available at 6.00.
