With the lingering issue concerning the future of Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain, the French giant might also have to sell Neymar after the Brazilian wants to leave the club.

PSG have been direct about their position on 24-year-old Mbappe that they are not ready to lose their price asset on a free transfer.

Mbappe is reportedly eyeing a move to Real Madrid but seems not ready to make a bid. The Galacticos could wait until January to sign a pre-contract agreement with the 2018 World Cup winner.

Neymar, who just returned to action after a four-month recovery from ankle ligament surgery, is also nearing an exit. So, his revival in the French capital may not last long after all, after facing backlash from fans who protested at his house last season over his unimpressive performance.

L’Équipe reported that the Brazilian international had informed the Ligue 1 champions’ management that he wanted to leave this summer.

The report further stated that the 31-year-old brought together his family and his agent, Pinhas Zahavi, on his return from PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia and decided that it was time to leave Ligue 1.
His decision is believed to be due to the PSG ultras’ protest in front of his house in the spring, feeling that PSG do not protect their players enough.

Neymar had wanted a return to Barcelona, where he had recorded success alongside Lionel Messi, who now plies his trade in the US for Inter Miami.

Although the Catalans would not be against his return, he is contracted to PSG for another four years and is on €30m per year, which could be difficult for the Catalans to match due to their debt profile.

The current development is coming up only days after he was decidedly PSG’s standout player in the final match of the pre-season. This has inevitably not been to club president Nasser Al Khelaifi’s liking as he continues to look for a solution concerning Mbappe.
