Napoli suffered another home loss after losing 2-3 against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Les Merengues have continued their hundred percent start in the competition.

Napoli were unlucky not to get any point from the game, having given Real Madrid a tough match.

Having returned to winning ways during the weekend against Udinese, the Partenopei rediscovered their form and confidence after some shaky results and Osimhen’s rage at the TikTok videos.

Rodrygo, who replaced Joselu in the starting lineup, called Alex Meret into action as his shot stung the goalie’s gloves at the near post in the opening minutes.
Napoli later opened the goal chart when they took the lead from a chaotic corner. Kepa Arrizabalaga couldn’t stop Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s cross as Natan’s looping header bounced off the top of the crossbar, and Leo Ostigard was ready to nod in the rebound.

Napoli continued the search for another goal as Piotr Zielinski’s effort was deflected inches wide.
Napoli later gave Real Madrid the equaliser when Jude Bellingham intercepted a square Giovanni Di Lorenzo pass and set up Vinicius to stroke home with the inside of the boot.

The Brazilian striker had another chance at goal after skipping past two Napoli players, only for his shot to be deflected.

Bellingham, who has been in sensational form since his switch from Borussia Dortmund to Madrid, turned the game around with a sensational goal.

Kepa denied Victor Osimhen’s equalizer when the Spanish goalie palmed away his towering header above Antonio Rudiger from Matteo Politano’s cross.

Napoli later got a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty Referee after a lengthy VAR review of Nacho’s sliding block on Osimhen at the by-line.

The decision was seen to be harsh as some quarters described it as a harsh call, especially as the ball came off his shin first and then struck the arm in a fairly natural position.

Osimhen, after a torrid week over the tick-tock video of Napoi, left the spot-kick duties, and Zielinski scored off the inside of the upright.

The equaliser sparked the hosts into life again, and Kvaratskhelia’s strong run set up Zielinski for a shot beaten away from the edge of the box. The Georgian and Anguissa’s efforts skimmed the upright from a distance.
Real Madrid lost an opportunity to restore parity when only parried the Vinicius attempt from a corner as Bellingham failed to put the rebound on target.

The visitors later restored their advantage with an enormous stroke of luck. A ferocious long strike from Federico Valverde came off the crossbar, ricocheted onto the back of Meret’s head, and into the net.
Napoli poured forward in search of another equaliser throughout stoppages but could not get it back on track.
