Dimitar Berbatov is adamant his Monaco side can beat Juventus on Wednesday to book their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The pair are due to meet at the Stade Louis II for the second leg of their last-eight clash with the Bianconeri holding a 1-0 advantage thanks to Arturo Vidal’s controversial second-half penalty last Tuesday in Turin.

With the tie still very much alive it is sure to be an exciting evening in the Principality and Les Rouges et Blancs will be desperate to cause yet another upset.

Leonardo Jardim’s men produced one of the performances of the season in beating Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates on their way to the last eight and will be looking for more of the same when the Serie A leaders visit on Wednesday.

Berbatov says his side are full of optimism heading into the match and is confident they have what it takes to reach the last four.

“The Champions League semi-final is within our reach,” the Bulgarian told Tuttosport.

“We can do it against Juventus. We’re a good team, we’ve already shown that both against Arsenal, and a week ago in Turin. We absolutely did not deserve to lose.

“We look forward with confidence and optimism, we’re preparing well for the comeback. We know that Juve are a team which creates a lot, but also gives opportunities.

“We know we have the ability to get to the next round.”

Despite Berbatov’s confidence, Monaco are currently the 3.40 underdogs to win the match, with the draw priced at 3.10 and Juve 2.30.
