Lionel Messi joined Barcelona in practice on Thursday to show he’s in great shape.

The Argentine icon went back to training as he tries to shake off the cobwebs of his hamstring injury before their Champions League semifinals first leg against Bayern Munich on April 23 at the Allianz Arena..

“The big novelty of this Thursday’s training session was Leo Messi,” Barca said in a statement on their website.

The Argentine World Player of the Year damaged the muscle during Barca’s quarterfinals first leg match at Paris Saint-Germain last April 2.

Messi sat out their 5-0 La Liga victory at home to Real Mallorca four days later but came on for the final half an hour at Camp Nou last Wednesday to help Barca squeak past PSG into the last four on away goals.

Barca management also said that midfielder Sergio Busquets, who has a minor groin problem, completed some work with the rest of his teammates after missing Wednesday’s session.

The La Liga leaders are looking for a third European crown in five years. They play their CL semifinals second leg at home to on May 1.
