According to Sky Sport Italia, the Red Devils are expected to contact La Dea’s directors shortly to strengthen their attack.

Manchester United have been scouting for a striker as they are currently short in the department.
Anthony Martial is the club’s only central striker, as Rashford prefers playing from the wings.

The latest development means Manchester United have made the Denmark international their top priority, having been a long-time target.

There are expected to be talks between the two clubs’ directors to see an agreement for a striker who might find it hard to say no to a move to Old Trafford.

According to Sky report, Atalanta’s asking price for the young striker is around €60m.
The 20-year-ole Dane scored ten goals in 34 appearances with La Dea in his first season in Serie A.

It is therefore expected to see Manchester United make their opening offer for the Denmark international.
Meanwhile, Il Corriere dello Sport had reported at the beginning of July that Atalanta turned down a bid from Red Devils in a region of €35m.

Should this deal go through z, this will be a huge trophy for La Dea, which bought the striker from Strum Graz last summer in a deal worth €17m.

Although the club’s CEO Luca Percassi had in a recent interview with told Sky Sports, Italia said he wants to keep the best players at the club, including Hojlund. But he kept the door open for the striker’s transfer at Old Trafford, saying that Atalanta has strengthened the team also ‘through sales’ over the last few years.

It’s now expected to see if a bid from United will be convincing and make another huge profit.
