Latest transfer news has emerged that Tottenham Hotspur have lined up Lille striker Jonathan David as a replacement for star player Harry Kane, who could depart the London club this summer.

Reports from Germany say the Englishman could leave for Bayern Munich. This follows comments from the club hierarchy that negotiation over his potential move is progressing.

Spurs owner Dany Levy was said to have met with Bayern Munich, knowing that the striker would be in the final year of his contract if he stayed beyond this summer.

The situation has made Spurs line up Jonathan as one of the alternatives if Kae decides to leave the club this summer.
The 29-year-old has found titles hard to come by at the North London club. His hunger for success could make him leave the club where he has scored over 250 goals.

Journalist Rudy Galetti said the Canadian striker, who has a contract with the French club until 2025, scored 26 goals across all competitions last season.

The 23-year-old has proved that he has the potential to develop into a world-class striker.
Making such a move will allow him to showcase his qualities in the Premier League. Such a tempting proposition will therefore be hard to turn down.

Despite having less than a year on his current deal, Kane is valued at around 100m Euros. This will help Spurs have the funds to sign the player if they decide to part with him.

So what is left is to see if Spurs will come forward with a concrete proposal to sign the Canadian international.
This is not the first time the Canadian has been linked with a move to the premier league, but Spurs seem to be the only club he could join presently where there won’t be much competition in the number 9 role.

Spurs also monitor Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic, a primary target for PSG should Kylian Mbappe leave this summer.
Replacing Kane will be a huge task. Spurs will need to replace their all-time scorer with another proven goalscorer like him, as he is among the best goalscorers of his generation.

Although his departure will leave a massive void in the side, Spurs must improve their squad if they want to do well next season and get back into the Champions League.
