The world’s most expensive player Neymar insists he is happy at Paris Saint-Germain as reports continue to suggest that he is destined for Real Madrid next summer.

The 25-year-old joined the Parisian outfit last summer when they activated his £200million release clause to take him to the Parc des Princes.

Neymar immediately settled into life with PSG, who are priced at 5.00 to win the Champions League, and he already boasts 26 goals from his 24 outings to help them to open up an 11-point lead at the top of the table, while they also cruised into the knockout stages of the Champions League and remain on course to defend their Coupe de France crown.

Reports have suggested that Neymar isn’t fully satisfied with life in France and it’s claimed that he is looking to secure a return to Spain where he enjoyed a fruitful four years with Barcelona.

It’s understood that he is set to link up with Real Madrid rather than heading back to the Nou Camp, although Neymar has moved to shoot down speculation and insists he is happy with his current employers.

Neymar said: “I’m happy with my teammates and I’m happy at PSG. I have good games and numbers and come here to make history and do my best.

“Speculation has always existed and will always exist. Since Santos and in my years in Barcelona, all the transfers windows had something with my name.

It’s impossible to stay out of it. But I’m happy because it means I’m a good player, and quality players are always speculated.”
