Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is hoping his side can turn their Premier League fortunes around following a third straight Champions League win on Tuesday.

Leicester shocked the footballing world last season by winning the Premier League trophy, finishing a massive 10 points clear of Arsenal in second place.

However, the title defence has not gone to plan so far and four defeats from eight league matches has left the defending champions languishing in 13th position.

A leaky back-line has been one of the main issues for the Foxes, having conceded 14, whilst they have only found the back of the net themselves eight times.

But, it has been a stark contrast in the Champions League and the English outfit have recorded three straight victories, all with cleansheets, to put them top of Group G.

European glory would be astonishing for Leicester and they are 34.00 to lift the trophy after dispatching Porto, Copenhagen and Club Brugge.

Ranieri is now hoping the domestic performances can start to pick up and any fears of a battle against relegation can be firmly put to one side.

He said: “The Premier League is our priority but of course, in the Champions League now, after one month and three matches, we are in a good position.

Our destiny is in our hands.” Leicester take on Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium this Saturday with the hosts searching for a first league success in four attempts.

The Foxes are 2.05 favourites to clinch all three points, a draw is priced at 3.25 whilst the Eagles are 3.80 to get back to winning ways following the 1-0 loss to West Ham United last time out.
