Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has paid tribute to the unique talents of midfielder Paul Pogba, comparing the 22-year-old with modern day greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Buffon believes any club seeking to lure Pogba away from Turin this summer would be forced to smash the world record transfer fee, such are his talents.

The goalkeeper has admitted he holds his teammate in the highest regard.

“I have never seen a player who is so good at his age, he is so strong, so technically gifted, has exceptional all-round play.

“Pogba can do things only Pogba can, similar to Messi and Ronaldo,” he said.

Since joining the Italian giants from Manchester United on a free transfer three years ago, Pogba has matured into one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe.

There have been inevitable suggestions he will leave this summer as the vultures continue to circle around him but according to Buffon, any move will require a massive fee.

“Of course he will be linked with the teams with big money like Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG and City, but at the moment he is achieving dreams at Juventus,” Buffon added.

“If any team wanted to buy him I would feel sure they would have to break the world record fee.”

The duo are set to be in action on Wednesday when Juventus take a 2-1 lead to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in their Champions League semi final second leg.

Juve are 5.40 to win in the Spanish capital, with the home side 1.64 and the draw 3.92.
