Juventus have added to their ranks with the signing of Italian international striker Simone Zaza from Sassuolo.

The 24-year-old was previously co-owned by the Bianconeri before Sassuolo bought his share in 2014 but Juve inserted a number of buyback clauses in the deal.

After a fine season in which he netted 11 times, as well making his debut for Italy, they have now decided to bring him back to Turin.

Zaza has signed a five-year-contract with Massimiliano Allegri’s men for a fee of 18million Euros, which is to be paid over the next three years.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Simone Zaza has completed a permanent switch from Sassuolo for a fee of 18 million Euros, to be paid over the next three years.

“The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the club.”

Having won a fourth straight Serie A crown last term, as well as the Coppa Italia and reaching the final of the Champions League, Juve have been extremely busy in the transfer market this summer.

Following the departure of Carlos Tevez back to boyhood club Boca Juniors, the board have already added the attacking duo of Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic from Palermo and Atletico Madrid respectively.

With Alvaro Morata and Fernando Llorente also at the club, it means Zaza is sure to have plenty of competition for a starting role.

Furthermore, midfielder Sami Khedira has also joined on a free transfer following the departure of the legendary Andrea Pirlo to MLS side New York City.
