Chelsea defender and club captain John Terry has hit back at suggestions that claim the team play ‘boring’ football.

The Blues are currently on track to win the Premier League Title thanks to their 10 point lead at the top of the table.

Jose Mourinho’s team are currently ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City and they also have a game in hand against Leicester on Wednesday night.

Chelsea played Arsenal on Sunday but they started the game without a striker due to injuries.

Although Didier Drogba was fit and ready, Mourinho played a different formation to try and neutralize the threat from Arsenal.

This decision has been criticised by some sections of the media but Terry is adamant the club are not boring.

Terry’s side have only scored twice in their last three league games but the former England international denies the club aren’t entertaining their fans.

He said: “We are definitely not boring and if we do go on to win it, nobody’s going to remember the performances when perhaps it’s not been that exciting, but we’ve dug deep where other teams haven’t and that is why they are so far behind us.

“Possession is great, we could see that from the Manchester United game last week. Possession and tippy-tappy football’s great, but if you are not winning games you’re not going to win the league.

“Let’s not forget the first half of the season, up until Christmas, we were the best side by far. We are grinding out results, we have got the quality in the squad, so hopefully we can get over the line because we are very close.”

Chelsea are currently 1.70 to beat Leicester, with the draw 3.80, while the Foxes are available at odds of 5.00 with Dafabet.
