Blackburn midfielder Jason Lowe has called for his team-mates to end the season with back-to-back victories in their final two league games.
Rovers will take on Rotherham at the New York Stadium on Saturday before they round off their campaign with a home clash against Reading at Ewood Park.
Paul Lambert’s side have little to play for after safety was confirmed last weekend, but former England Under-21 international Lowe wants the team to end an underwhelming campaign on a high.
He said: “All you can do now is play for your own pride as a team. The league, certainly down at the lower end, is all sewn up.”
The 24-year-old believes it is also important to give the club’s supporters something to cheer heading into the summer, but he knows it will not be easy against a Rotherham side enjoying an 11-match unbeaten run.
Lowe added: “Fans at any football club are very, very important so it’s a case of let’s finish as strongly as we can, let’s wear the shirt with some pride, and try and get six points out of six.”
Rovers have not won any of their last six matches although they did emerge as 1-0 victors against the Millers in Lancashire earlier in the season.
Rovers are available at 2.88 to secure all three points on Saturday, while Rotherham are on offer at 2.40 and the draw is 3.20.
