Swansea attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has praised the impact of new boss Bob Bradley since his arrival at the Liberty Stadium.

The 58-year-old became the first American to manage a Premier League club when he succeeded Francesco Guidolin in South Wales earlier this month.

The former United States boss kicked off his reign with a narrow 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but despite that loss, Iceland international Sigurdsson has been impressed by the overall impact of the new boss.

“The boys really like the new manager,” Sigurdsson told Swansea’s website. “Training has been good since he came in – really hard and really sharp.”

Saturday’s defeat in North London was the Swans fifth straight loss in all competitions, but Sigurdsson was pleased with his side’s overall performance during the match, and he believes results will start to improve if they can continue in the same vein over the coming weeks.

He added: “I think we have improved since he arrived and I think if we keep performing like we did in the next few games, we are going to start picking up a few wins.”

Swansea City are next in action when they play host to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Welsh club are available at 2.30 to win the match, while the Hornets are priced at 3.10 and the draw is on offer at 3.20.
