Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says they do not fear former boss Pep Guardiola after they progressed through into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Barca were leading Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 on aggregate heading into the quarter-final second leg at Camp Nou before a Neymar brace in the first half eased them through.

There is a good chance Barca could land Bayern Munich after they came from behind to crush Porto 7-4 on aggregate, and that would of course set up a clash with Guardiola.

Bayern could be the side to beat in the semi-finals, but Pique says they hold no fear over the prospect of coming up against their former mentor.

“I don’t think that we need to avoid Bayern in the Champions League semi-finals,” the centre-back said.

“We are playing in the Champions League semi-finals and everything will be difficult.

“When you’re in the semi-finals of the Champions League you need to be really good and need a little bit of luck.

“Congratulations to Pep, though, Bayern must have played a good game. It is definitely a good score to win 6-1.”

Bayern and Barcelona are currently joint 2.60 favourites to go on and win the Champions League, with Real Madrid 6.00 and Juventus priced at 11.00.

The semi-final line up will be completed this evening when Real Madrid take on Atletico Madrid at the Bernabeu, while Juventus have to travel to Monaco.

Atletico are priced at 15.00 to go all the way, with Monaco 90.00 outsiders.
