Sevilla coach Unai Emery is looking forward to leading his team in the Champions League next season after guiding the La Liga outfit to Europa League glory.

Sevilla won a fourth Europa League trophy after beating Dnipro 3-2 in Warsaw, 12 months after they had edged past Benfica following a penalty shoot-out in the final.

Their other successes in the competition came when it was known as the UEFA Cup.

In 2007 they beat Espanyol on penalties in the final after a 2-2 draw, 12 months after thrashing Middlesbrough 4-0.

This time they were forced to come from behind before winning a thrilling match as Nikola Kalinic headed Dnipro into an early lead before two quick goals by Grzegorz Krychowiak and Carlos Bacca gave Sevilla the advantage.

A Ruslan Rotan free-kick made it 2-2, before Bacca grabbed the winner to ensure Sevilla will be playing in next season’s Champions League.

A delighted Emery said afterwards: “It has been a lot of work. The whole side worked very well. We’ve had difficulties in all of the games.

“Now is not the time to talk about the future. I learned a long time ago that you have to live the present without thinking about the future.

“We have demanded a lot of ourselves so we want to enjoy our great achievement right now. The Champions League will be an eye-opener but we’ll think about it in the coming days.”

Attention now turns towards the Champions League final in Berlin on 6th June.

Barcelona can be backed at 1.62 to win the final while Juventus are 5.50 to come out on top.
