Danny Graham says he is loving life with Blackburn Rovers at the moment and he is hopeful a permanent contract can be agreed at the end of the current campaign.

The 30-year-old moved to the Championship outfit on loan in January from Sunderland until the summer and he has already become a big fans favourite at Ewood Park.

He has scored three goals from eight league appearances and the impressive performances have helped lift the struggling club to 16th place in the table.

Tuesday’s night 2-0 victory over promotion-chasing Birmingham City was Rovers’ third victory in their last four matches and the team are now eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Manager Paul Lambert may already be thinking about his plans for next season and one player who wants to remain in Lancashire is the in-form Graham.

The former England Under-20 international has already revealed he will not sign a new contract with the Black Cats when his deal expires this summer and he expressed his desire to stay where he is.

“I’m happy here and I’ve stated that,” he said. “I just want to concentrate on my football but I’m sure the gaffer will sit down with my agent and maybe talk about what is going to happen in the summer and we’ll take it from there.”

Graham will be hoping to continue his impressive run of form on Saturday when Blackburn welcome Leeds United to Ewood Park, as 16th take on 15th respectively.

The hosts are 1.75 favourites to pick up an 11th season victory on home soil this weekend, a draw is priced at 3.40 while the Whites are 4.75 outsiders to upset the odds and move themselves further away from the drop zone.
