Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado is adamant there has been no contact between himself and Barcelona despite speculation over a move to the Spanish giants.

The Colombian has started in all of the Viola’s 16 games this season and has helped them into fifth in the Serie A table.

Some sections of the Italian media have compared the 25-year-old to former AC Milan and Barcelona star Ronaldinho, but he has been quick to play down the comparison.

Cuadrado joined Fiorentina from Udinese in the summer for an undisclosed fee after a successful loan spell at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The winger is currently valued at around 25million euros and a number of clubs across Europe are reportedly interested in his signature.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus have apparently joined Barcelona in the hunt, but no firm offers have been made yet.

“Barcelona interest?,” Cuadrado said when asked about the link. “I have no contacts and the club has said nothing to me.

“Every player works to progress and play in big teams, but my mind says Fiorentina and I’m very happy here.

“Then we’ll see what happens in the future. I only think to work hard and improve; I still have room for improvement.”
