Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has hinted that winger Yannick Bolasie is on his way out of the club after conceding his ‘heart and soul is elsewhere’.
The 27-year-old was left out of Palace’s first team for Saturday’s clash with West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles fell to a 1-0 defeat at home after Salomon Rondon’s header proved the difference during the opening round of Premier League fixtures.
Bolasie eventually entered the fold after half-time but Pardew has now hinted that he could soon be on his way out of the club.
Reports in the press suggest the tricky winger is on his way to Everton after four successful years at Palace.
The DR Congo international could compete his move before next weekend’s fixtures and Pardew has wished him well.
He told the BBC: “We know there is a big offer and a big club in for him. “The deal is close and he will go with my best wishes. There’s no medical done or agreement 100% done.
“It’s fair to say we know his heart and soul may be elsewhere.
It was good he put himself up for the game and it showed the love he has for Palace.”
Losing Bolasie would be a huge blow for Pardew as he tries to keep his side in the top flight once again. Palace are currently priced at 5.50 to go down with Dafabet.
