Blackburn winger Craig Conway is determined his side maintain their recent run of good form under Tony Mowbray.

Rovers are unbeaten in six matches since Mowbray succeeded Owen Coyle as manager last month and their upturn has seen them move a point clear of the Championship relegation zone.

Late goals have been a theme of the Blue and Whites’ recent run, with Derrick Williams scoring a 90th-minute equaliser in the recent 1-1 draw with Cardiff while Lucas Joao did the same thing during Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw at play-off hopefuls Fulham.

Conway believes the late goals show belief is growing within the squad. “That’s a couple of times we’ve scored late on and that shows the character within the group,” the winger said.

“We’re on a good run, six games unbeaten, and we don’t want to let that slip.”

Blackburn are next in action when they play host to Lancashire rivals Preston North End on Saturday and Conway is hopeful his side can earn all three points and pull further clear of the relegation zone.

“We’re in the position we are in because we deserve to be there, and it’s only us that can change that,” the Scotland international added.

“At the minute we’re doing the right things and picking up points, and long may that continue.”

Rovers are priced at 2.40 to win on Saturday, Preston are available at 3.00 and the draw is on offer at 3.20.
