Cesc Fabregas insists that Chelsea will put out a strong team for Tuesday’s Capital One Cup clash with Derby as they are looking to go all the way in the competition.

Chelsea have been the in-form team in England so far this season, with their only loss in all competitions coming against Newcastle last weekend.

The Blues sit top of the Premier League, have secured progression through to the knockout stages of the Champions League and will look to book a spot in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Derby will pose tough competition for the Stamford Bridge outfit as they continue to push for promotion from the Championship.

Fabregas insists that the league leaders will not take the Rams lightly going into the tie and expects they will be out to try and cause an upset.

The Spaniard, who joined Chelsea in the summer, believes that Jose Mourinho will name a strong squad as he has already made it clear that he wants the Capital One Cup to be his first trophy of the campaign.

Fabregas said: “It didn’t take long to see that the manager is a winner. He wants to win every competition that he is up for.

“He has already told us he wants to win this trophy. It is the first trophy of the season and he wants it.

“He will put out the best team possible to win the game, I am sure of that.”
