Boss Brendan Rodgers admits Liverpool now have no margin for error as they chase a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Reds are currently fifth in the table and saw two points go begging on Saturday after they could only draw 0-0 at West Brom as they look to make it into the Champions League for the second year in a row.

However, Rodgers and his players then saw Manchester United lose 3-0 at Everton on Sunday afternoon to leave the Merseysiders seven points behind the fourth-placed Red Devils with a game in hand.

After a slow start Liverpool started to find some form in the second half of the season before their progress was halted by spring defeats to top-four rivals United and Arsenal.

Rodgers’ men now have no other option than to look to secure 15 points from their last five Premier League games after drawing a blank at the Hawthorns.

“It’ll be very difficult, I felt of the six games we certainly needed to win five at least so now we have five to go and we’ll have to look to win them to give ourselves a chance,” Rodgers said.

“You never know what happens above you, that’s the thing with football, but what you have to do is make sure you keep the pressure on.

“This is a difficult place to come, Tony Pulis’ teams are strong, we have got a point and now we look to our game in hand in the week (against Hull) and look to get three points there.”

Liverpool are 1.95 to win at Hull City (4.00) on Tuesday night with the draw 3.25.

The Reds conclude their season against QPR (h), Chelsea (a), Crystal Palace (h) and Stoke (a).
