Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham was all smiles on his recent trip to China.
The football ambassador was in Asia to help promote the Chinese Super League, after the domestic league’s reputation was hit with a sensational match-fixing fiasco that let to China’s Football Association finding 58 people guilty.
According to the Englishman, his trip was a very productive one.
“Honestly, I loved this trip to China. Especially the welcome I received and the cities visited,” he told reporters.
Upon his arrival, the usual flock of supporters rushed the Englishman but he was quick to turn his attention to the task at hand.
“I must admit that I’m itching to put aside the suit and put my boots on again,” Beckham added.
