Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben is delighted Franck Ribery has returned to action and he insists their partnership will continue in the seasons ahead.

Frenchman Ribery was sidelined between March and December in 2015 and, after making a brief return, was absent throughout January for the German giants.

However, Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has begun to ease Ribery back into the side of late, although he has mainly been used as a substitute.

Robben is delighted his attacking partner is closing in on a return to full fitness. Both have been linked with summer exits but Dutchman Robben hopes they can continue playing together for the foreseeable future.

He told Sky Germany: “I am convinced that Franck and I have a few good years left in us. I am very pleased that he’s back.”

Robben also backed Bayern youngster Joshua Kimmich to break into the Germany side ahead of both Euro 2016 and the Rio Olympics.

It seems unlikely the 21-year-old will be included in both squads but Robben is convinced the youngster deserves to earn a first senior call-up.

He added: “If he plays on like that, he belongs into the national team because of his qualities.”

Bayern are 1.85 to beat Werder Bremen to nil in the Bundesliga on Saturday or 34.00 to record a 4-2 win at the Allianz Arena.

The German champions are 4.00 to win the Champions League outright ahead of next week’s last-16, second-leg clash with Juventus, with the match finely balanced at 2-2 after a draw in the first leg in Italy.
