Barcelona boss Luis Enrique feels securing a first-leg advantage has to be the priority ahead of his side’s Copa del Rey semi-final clash with Villarreal.

The Catalan giants host Villarreal on Wednesday in the first leg of their last-four showdown, having overcome Atletico Madrid in the previous round.

Away goals can be vital in the Spanish cup competition and Enrique hopes his side can keep a clean sheet, but insists that a victory remains the top priority.

Villarreal have been in fine form of late and twice took the lead on a recent La Liga visit to Camp Nou, but Barcelona fought back to win 3-2.

Enrique expects a stern test but he is confident Barcelona can pick up a 10th consecutive victory in all competitions on Wednesday.

“We will have the same mentality for tomorrow’s game as in the La Liga meeting,” he told a press conference.

“We are going out to win, and for the opponent to have few chances. Villarreal are having a spectacular season, and the game will be very difficult.

“It is important not to concede, and our first objective is to win. We will look to analyse the Liga game and see what things we can improve upon, how we can attack and find more solutions.”

Barcelona are installed as 1.18 favourites to win the match on Wednesday or 2.07 to win to nil, while Villarreal are on offer 12.78 to secure a famous victory at Camp Nou.
