Luis Enrique feels Barcelona have taken a significant step towards completing their mission to win the treble this season after eliminating Bayern Munich from the Champions League.

Barcelona travelled to Germany with a three-goal advantage from the first leg in the Nou Camp and progressed to the final in Berlin despite losing the game at the Allianz Arena 3-2.

They now await the winners of Real Madrid and Juventus in the final on Saturday 6th June.

Victory at Atletico Madrid on Sunday would secure the La Liga title with one game to spare while they also have a Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao before the end of this month.

Enrique knows they are now edging closer to their dream of a clean sweep of silverware.

“I am very satisfied with the performance of my players, the whole team deserved the victory and we have to enjoy this.

“We’re one win away from winning each of the three competitions,” he added. “This is our mission.”

Barcelona are 1.52 to win the Champions League following their defeat of Bayern.

With such a comprehensive first leg win, Enrique says the second leg against the side coached by former Barca boss Pep Guardiola represented a different challenge for his team.

“With such a good result from the first leg, we knew they had to give more,” Enrique said.

“The second-half was different, because they attacked us more, but we are now in the final and can win the title in each competition we are in.

“This is what it means to be part of Barca.”
