Arsenal keeper Petr Cech has said winning the Premier League title in north London is his driving motivation over the next four seasons.

The Czech international put an end to a successful 11-year spell with London rivals Chelsea to try and earn more regular football between the sticks across the capital at the Emirates.

Cech, who has signed a four-year deal with the Gunners, managed to win Premier League titles, FA Cup crowns, Capital One trophies and the Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge.

However the 33-year-old is looking forward to a new challenge with the Gunners, who are priced at 5.00 to win the Premier League next term, and believes that under manager Arsene Wenger they will be pushing for the English crown in the seasons to come.

Cech told reporters: “I want to win the title, I wouldn’t be sincere if I didn’t admit that.

“Only time will tell if I miss something, and I can’t forget those 11 years. I look forward to opening a new chapter. It’s a new start, a new motivation.”

Arsenal, who have not won the English crown since the season they went unbeaten in the league back in 2004-2005, get their campaign in the Premier League next season underway on August 8 when they host London rivals West Ham.

The Gunners are installed as 1.33 favourites to win, 4.75 to draw and 9.00 to lose to the Hammers at the Emirates.
