Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has rejected talk he could return to La Liga in the near future.
Monreal initially struggled to force his way into the Gunners side after joining from Malaga although he has established himself as a regular starter this season.
The 29-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal and there has been speculation linking him with a January move back to Spain.
However, Monreal insists he is happy in north London and is not planning to make the move to La Liga any time soon.
“Everything feels right,” Monreal told the Arsenal Weekly podcast. “I can say that I feel at home on and off the pitch. If you don’t feel good off the pitch and in life in general, obviously you can’t give 100 per cent.
“However, at the moment, I love England, I love London, and I love my team-mates so everything is positive.”
Arsenal were held by Norwich last time out but they are still just two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City and can be backed at 3.75 to win the Premier League outright, while City are 1.95.
The Gunners host Sunderland on Saturday and they are 1.22 to bounce back to winning ways and take all three points. A win for the Black Cats is 12.00 and a draw is 6.00.
