Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was delighted with his side’s 6-0 Champions League success over Ludogorets on Wednesday, but he is refusing to get too carried away with the result.

The Gunners are now on an 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions and they currently sit top of their European group with seven points from their opening three matches.

Arsenal will face Ludogorets once again in their next European match on November 1, and they can secure their progress into the knockout stages with a victory in Bulgaria.

Wenger’s men have been eliminated at the last 16 stage in each of the last six seasons, and the Frenchman believes it is not only important his side secure progression, but also qualify as a seeded team by winning their group.

“It is important to win our home games in the battle for the first place,” the 66-year-old said. “Our confidence is stronger with every win, but we have to keep the vigilance as well, and the urgency to bring that into the next game.”

The experienced coach believes he has a strong enough squad to go a long way in this season’s competition, but he insists it is important to take things one game at a time.

He added: “Let’s not be too quick on the verdict [after a big win]. We have a strong squad and a strong spirit, but you have to take care of it and keep your feet on the ground.

The only way to win something big is to focus on the next [match] and work on humility.”

Arsenal are available at 1.80 to secure top-spot in Group A, while they are priced at 23.00 to win European club football’s top prize for the very first time.
